Inspection and Expediting Heap and Digby's inspection and expediting services are frequently used on projects engineered by the Company. They are also provided separately to clients world-wide including government departments, public utilities, contractors and other consultants. The objective of inspection and expediting is to ensure that equipment is manufactured with adequate planning and control, to the required levels of quality and delivered on time. The services offered by Heap and Digby cover a wide range and can be divided in four broad categories:
Quality assurance includes vendor assessment, evaluation and monitoring of QA systems and programmes. Quality control covers inspection, testing and checking quality control procedures during the manufacture, installation and commissioning of all types of mechanical and electrical equipment. Expediting concentrates on the evaluation of manufacturing programmes to ensure that realistic targets are set and on progress monitoring to identify problem areas and ensure that appropriate action is taken to maintain completion dates. Special services cover on-site plant inspection, acceptance tests and emergency support. The latter is set to deal with exceptional circumstances requiring urgent action such as plant failure and substantial programme disruption. |
